United Nations Entity For Gender Equality and Women Empowerment also known as UNWOMEN is a United Nations entity working to improve the living standards of women internationally. Since its formation on second of July 2010 this entity has been co-operating and working with UN member states to set international standards ,civil society and governments to design laws, policies, and services that will help their goals of achieving gender equality and ensure the standards they set are implemented productively to the benefits of women and girls internationally. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka is the current executive director of UNWOMEN which is a member of United Nations Development Group.
