World Health Organization also is known as WHO is a specialized agency of the United Nations whose aim is to improve international public health and the standards of the health service globally. It was established on 7 April 1948 and its headquarters is in Geneva. Tedros Adhanom is the current director-general of the agency. World Health Organization also works with 194 Member states to strive combat both communicable and noncommunicable diseases worldwide.
